How Is a CareXpress Allergy Test Performed?
Our gold-standard allergy testing method is the Skin Pick Test, a non-invasive and painless test that gently abrades the skin's surface with allergens being tested for. The results develop in about 15 minutes, and a positive test will appear as a raised, red bump on the skin, similar to a mosquito bite.
You'll be tested for 48 allergens specific to our geographical location, both seasonal and perennial. We test for trees, grasses, weeds, animals, and insects. We do not test for food or stinging insect-related allergies.
